Dual Focus Photography love Wedding Signature Boards

Dual Focus Photography loves the new Wedding Signature Boards

Times and fashions are changing, and who really reads through a guest book, more than once?  It gets put in a memories box, and forgotten about until they have a tidy up in the loft!

Signature boards are a great keepsake, and are ideal for couples who are getting married and would like something a bit different.  You can have your favourite engagement image or other favourite image of the 2 of you, printed in a quality frame with a wide single or double mount, in black or white, take the glass out for the wedding, so guests sign within the confines of the actual frame, pop the glass back in after the wedding, and hang it on their wall at home.

They are really quite eye catching, and also you can read all the lovely messages your guests left you both on your big day, each time you pass it handing at home.

They are also a lovely idea for special birthdays or Anniversaries.

A lot of photographers are offering these now, as part of the engagement/post-wedding portrait sessions, or a wedding package extra.

We think they are such a great idea, we are actually having one for our own wedding next month, as we’ve just had our engagement session with our Wedding Photographer.

Best wishes,
Clair & Kevin

Missy Mo Loves Winter Weddings

Missy Mo loves Winter Weddings

Whilst the temperatures hit below zero…don’t let the cold snap turn you off weddings!

Winter Weddings can be very Romantic, Enchanting and Magical. Think cosy log fires with twinkling fairy lights overlooking grounds of white snow! A winter wedding gives you great scope for an unforgettable day. You can afford to let your imagination go wild and indulge in a little fantasy for the day!

A few little things to consider in planning a perfect Winter Wedding…

The Dress –  a long white dress teamed up with a faux fur wrap or jacket and diamonds are a must to add that touch of sparkle to your winter wedding theme.  For inspiration, think Narnia or Winter Wonderland.

Location – most couples would love snow on their wedding day and you don’t have to fly as far away as Lapland to achieve this! Fake snowflakes can be bought and laid down on the grounds to give that snowy feel. Maybe hire a snow machine to give a snow falling effect when guests arrive.

Table/venue decorations – can be decorated simply with white poinsettias. Fill the room with romantic lights by arranging pillar candles on a bed of pine branches and decorate doorways, archways and tables with little fairy lights.

Bright red berries in a bowl surrounded with floating candles make an easy and inexpensive centerpiece and this will add a little colour to the final look.  For a touch of extravagance consider commissioning ice sculptures or a vodka luge.

Flowers – decide whether you want to go for a silver and white elegant look OR celebrate the festive season with reds and greens.

Silver and white – look for dusty miller, silver-dollar eucalyptus mixed with white flowers such as roses, crocuses, lilies and stephanotis.

Festive colours – in-season flowers such as tulips, roses, and ornamental berries generally will be a less expensive choice. If you are on a budget opt for this colour option.

Commission a crystal bouquet for that extra wintry feel. As a bonus, you’ll get to keep your bouquet forever.

Food – you can have all of your favorite foods including a traditional roast dinner but add some winter touches like a warm pumpkin soup to start and sticky toffee pudding with custard to end.  Consider serving eggnog, spiced wine, or Baileys hot chocolate as a welcome drink or a special treat after dinner.

Cake – look for an all-white cake decorated with snowflake patterns, silver embellishments, or sugar sculptures. Maybe consider a decorative snow globe as a cake topper for a final WOW factor.
